Hands On – Chiang Mai – รถไฟมาเชียงใหม่ปิดบริการ 45 วัน – Train to Chiang Mai Suspended for 45 Days
รถไฟสายเหนือจากกรุงเทพ มายังจังหวัดเชียงใหม่งดให้บริการเป็นเวลา 45 วันตั้งแต่วันที่ 16 กันยายน – 31 ตุลาคม 2556 และจะเปิดให้บริการอีกครั้งหนึ่งตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน เป็นต้นไป การปิดเป็นเพื่อเป็นการซ่อมบำรุงระบบราง ไม้หมอน สะพานและอุโมงค์ต่าง ๆ เนื่องจากในช่วยไม่มี่เดือนที่ผ่านมามีอุบัติเหตุรถไฟตกรางบ่อยครั้งใในช่วงทางนี้
โดยขบวนรถสายเหนือจะมีให้บริการจากกรุงเทพถึงแต่สถานี ศิลาอาสน์ จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์เท่านั้น

State Railway of Thailand suspends its service to Chiang Mai.
State Railway of Thailand declared that its Northern service to Chaing Mai from Bangkok will not be available from today (16 September 2013) for 45 days to 31 October 2013 due to its serious maintenance service of its rail system, bridges and tunnels. This full-scale maintenance is due to several late derailment the service faced in the last 5 months. The rail service to Chiang Mai is expected to resume on 01 November 2013, hopefully, in time for the high tourism season of the region.
The current service from Bangkok will terminate at Sila-Ard station, Uttradit Province until further notice. The number of services is also expected to decrease.
